CHARLES UWAGBAI

Charles Uwagbai is an award-winning, passionate, and creative film director located in Ontario, Canada. Charles has spent the last 10 years producing and directing television advertisements, theatrical releases for various platforms and over 20 television movies for the international power house IrokoTV (Canal Plus). 
 

Charles is an active member of the Directors Guild of Canada. He recently wrote and directed the short film ‘Alone’ with the DGC PIXO virtual production which premiered at Tiff Lightbox. 

Charles also recently filmed a feature “Finding Odera” in Toronto, Ontario and Lagos, Nigeria.
 

Charles also directed the feature  “Kipkemboi”   shot in Kenya and Canada, written by Joel Richardson and produced by Jennifer Jonas and Leonard Farlinger, developed with the assistance of The Harold Greenberg Fund. Produced with Telefilm Canada, Ontario Creates and CBC Films. 
 
Charles is open to working in film and television at the moment.
